If somebody says of you, “Did you know he is a Christian?”, would people be surprised, or would they say “Ah, no wonder?”

Over many lunchtime conversations and the insightful Q&A panel, pearls of wisdom were shared with our brand new House Officers, who are due to start their first day of work on 2 May 2024.

Beyond practical advice on how to survive their first call and handle difficult situations, our incoming HOs were reminded of the power of the Christian witness in the workplace, and to maintain an attitude of service unto the Lord.

Kalista shared a beautiful summary of the Christian worldview of work, before Dr Joel Chan, Judith, and Christoph fielded questions on life as a Christian HO.

The new HOs spent time praying for one another within their new hospital groups. They took home faith flags, laptop stickers, and a copy of The Doctor’s Life Support 5 (a daily devotional for doctors) to encourage them in the coming year.
